Old Montgomery Wards .22 pump . . .?

Update:

Got this in an estate sale, plastic stock and slide grip. It's pretty clean inside but the barrel, receiver, and ammo tube have spots of rust. Any suggestions on how to remove them without a major rebluing? Just want to get it cleaned up a little.

Another vote for oil and try brass wool before 0000 steel wool.

Rem oil or any light grade machine oil and 0000 steel wool, applied with elbow grease and determination.

It was a neat .22 rifle. It worked well.
