what do i need to do to help keep my little one safe?

i don't drink much alcohol, so cutting that down to zero is no problem.

i have never smoked.

it is nearly 10 years since i was pregnant last time.

i am only 3 or 4 weeks gone. so excited!

in the uk.

between two consenting adults.

i have to travel overnight. can't be avoided.

my 8 year old will be travelling with us.

he will sleep in his high back booster, resting his head on the head support.

would he be any more comfortable on just the booster, leaning on the car seat?

or is there a way he can lay on the back seat, still belted in, and be less squashed? legally? safely?

uk trip, into france. not sure if the rules are different in france?

the 2 adults will share the driving!

i will be ttc tomorow night, and friday.

never been on birth control.

i asked the other day, what is the average age a kid is taught basic algebra. adding and subracting functions in brackets, positive and negative numbers.

the general age is the first 2 years of high school. my son has just started junior school. he is 8, in year 3 (uk)

he can do the algebra no problem!

will his school give him extra maths lessons? how do i go about helping him ? he loves maths! i am not forcing him, he has a natural ability. what is the best thing for me to do for him?

he's in a good school, in england. they claim to teach every child at their own level, not limit them to what the whole class can do.

my son is 8. this year, they have a school trip away for a couple of nights.

he will love going. i am happy for him to go... but

they have parents going as helpers.

the class idiot/bully is a right mummys boy. chances are, his mum will be going as a helper.

she hates my son. no idea why. she used to love him, the 2 boys used to play together a lot. then she turned strange. probably explains why the other kid has no friends left...

so what is the best thing for me to do?

let him go and hope she is not there?

i am a bit reluctant to go with him, as he behaves much better if i am not there! and the whole point of the trip is for the kids to get used to being without their parents for 2 nights...

their staff are rude.

they refuse to give an aproximate delivery time (morning or afternoon would have been a help...).

they were asked not to leave my parcel with a neighbour, so they left it with a neighbour...

they were supposed to return the parcel to the sender, but left it with a neighbour instead.

they were supposed to call me to apologise friday. still waiting.

they have cost me 2 days leave from work for the parcel i never got. great service.

they have also cost about £15 in phone calls trying to find out if and when they are coming...

and finally, they have ignored 3 emails.

i can send pictures no problem.

when i receive an mms, it goes to my personal email instead of the iphone.

is this something i need to sort with the phone settings?

or with my network provider, 3, in uk?

i recently purchased an ipad2. 16g, wifi.

it has a slot for a micro sim, so out of curiosity, i inserted the one from my iphone. i switched off the wireless and got on the internet.

is this right? should it do that?
