My friends computer is asking for the "last system login" when the start up their computer, they have never had to do this before, they have tried all known passwords but none work, they cannot get past this step, is there any way around this problem?

As a resident of the UK,could anyone tell me if it is legal for my employer to offer a guarantee of "X" amount of hours payment per day, then take a legally required break period off my wages, thus reducing the actual amount of hours they guarantee.

Not only that but should I not work the hours guaranteed on any given day they will take the "missing" hours from any overtime worked on another day to pay back the hours I didn't work.

Surely this does not constitute a "Guarantee"

Hi, I am having trouble adding contacts on yahoo messenger (version 11.5) When I try to add anyone I get the following message. "There was an error in the server while trying to add a contact. Please try again" As I am asking this question you may gather that I have tried again, and again, and again. I have tried several different contacts, all with the same result.I have uninstalled and re installed messenger but this did not work either

Can anyone help?

Without getting into a debate about who is responsible for overseeing price rises imposed by UK utility providers, can anyone explain why a well known water company can be told that they cannot raise their prices to a certain level but Gas and Electricity providers can increase their prices at will?

Their excuse being that they need "to invest" in infrastructure, As a small business owner If I need to buy new equipment to improve my service I have to take the money from my profits or take out a loan, if I raise my prices to my customers they will go elsewhere. We don't have that choice as once one utility company raises their price the rest are not far behind. And our government cant see that this is classic "cartel" tactics?.... or don't they want to see?

Can anyone tell me how to find the "Downloads" on a Kindle Fire HD? I have downloaded an audio book from a third party site (not Amazon) and before the download began I was prompted that the file would have to be opened from the download file/folder for the first use.

After 30 min I am unable to find anything titled Downloads.

Any help would be great

Please help, whenever I try to print a document or picture I get as far as the print preview screen and as soon as I click the print button another window opens which is a folder that I have deleted from the computer, so no longer exists and I am prompted to "save as" I also have a notification window that tells me the location I am trying to save the document to is no longer available. Well I did delete it.

I have reconfigured my printer (wireless) and at the end of the reconfiguration I was prompted to "print a test page"

The test page printed without a problem so I am happy that the computer is connecting to the printer. Further attempts to print documents have failed as before

It therefore appears that the "print" button is sending my documents to the wrong place.

Any help with this problem would be thankfully received.

I believe that a hacker is accessing my computer and using my identity on the internet, I have no personal details stored other than alias' however when I try to send an email to the accounts being hacked my mouse becomes uncontrollable as if someone else is in control and the email is deleted.

I am using microsoft security essentials as a security package and my computer is running windows 7.

Could someone please tell me the best way to remove this hacker and minimise any future intrusions.

I am looking to book a holiday for two to the island of Zakinthos (if all go's well in the Greek elections)

While looking through the Thomas Cook pages here on the inter web I could not help but notice that the same hotel package, down to the exact dates of arrival and departure, advertised from two relatively local airports Cardiff (1 hr) and Birmingham (2 hr) varied in price by £324.

While I realise that different airports have different charges how can the holiday from CARDIFF Airport cost £162 more per person?

I bought my wife a refurbished laptop a while back, she only uses it for facebook and the Cafe World game within the facebook site. All worked well for about two months and then the Cafe World game started to slow things down, The game would freeze or run so slowly it was unplayable.

I tried the usual delete cookies, temp Internet files etc, but this made no difference, I updated the flash player and still no joy, I used different browsers, FireFox worked for a while but then the problem started again. after trying several browsers with no luck I used my laptop to access her Cafe and all ran well, I then used her laptop to create my own Cafe, this not only loaded, it played well and quickly proving that everything needed for the game was installed and working on her laptop.

I have looked in various forums and although there are lots of people with similar problems nothing seems to fix it.

As I said at the beginning the laptop is a refurbished item and it did not come with a Windows XP Professional disk, however the XP product key is on a Windows XP Professional label/sticker on the bottom of the laptop, I have looked everywhere on her laptop to find an image of the original installed copy but I cant find it.

Does anyone know

A. How to fix the problem on Cafe World

Or

B. how to reinstall Windows XP Professional using only the product key
