• If you could create your own school, what would it be like?

  As in, what kind of school would it be?  

  what lessons would be taught?

  What kind of books or learning material will be found on the curriculum?

  What kind of structure of a hierarchy or no hierarchy would the school have?

  Would it be in city centers for easy access or planted in the middle of a forest?

  What would the teachers be like? 

  What would you want your students/learners to take away from your school?

  These are just simple questions, I am curious to hear people's opinions. Thank you!

• do you think I'll get held back?

  here is the story:

  I didn't finish 8th grade cause school got cancelled and I couldn't do online school like the other kids cause our family didn't have internet back then, then when 9th grade started we got internet so I could do school, so I tried the first month but I could barely understand anything cause I didn't finish 8th grade and my grades were really bad, since October I haven't done anything threw MY school, but I have been taking other online classes to try to catch up, so I re-took 8th grade online because I forgot everything over the summer so I just re-took the whole grade, a few months ago I finish 8th grade through online courses, now I'm doing 9th grade I just finished learning algebra now I just have ELA and chemistry to finish learning, hopefully I will finish learning them by the end of May so I can use the last weeks of school to turn everything in at my REAL school and prove I don't need to get held back cause I know this stuff, 

  I just been learning Algebra, ELA, and Chemistry but I wasn't doing the electives, I know electives can be very educational but are they THAT important? I don't care if I have to retake my electives but I definitely do not wanna retake Alg,ela,&chem, also the school nor my mom knows that I've been taking online classes but I'm planning on telling them around the end of May, I was keeping it a secret from my mom cause she is a boomer and doesn't understand how the internet works so she thinks online classes are bad

• friends in covid?

  I'm about to go back to school next week, and I just started middle school this year. I don't know anyone, and I'm nervous how I'm going to be able to make friends because I've been isolated for over a year. I'm scared to go back, because everyone else talks to each other on zoom, but I found it hard to make friends with people through a screen. I don't want to go back and just be the outcast that nobody knows or talks to. Also my class is going back to school, but we're going to be on zoom in class (I know, it's really dumb) and the only time we get to talk to other kids in-person, is at lunch.

• Can I still pass my class?

  It's a communications class there are four speeches, two exams, and four outlines. 

  My grades on the last speeches were 90 and 94 the third was a 0 because I skipped. But I've gotten perfect grades on the outlines and an 80 on the exam. 

  Do you guys think I can still pass the class ?

• Incoming Georgia Tech student, what AP exams should I take?

  I’m a HS senior and I’m going to be a CS major at gatech next year so I was wondering which AP exams I should take.

  I think the website says I can get credit for the exams that I took:

       -AP Human Geo

       -AP US history

  The AP classes that I can take this year:

       -AP Psych

       -AP Gov

       -AP Calc BC

       -AP Chem

       -AP Lit

       -AP Spanish

  I was wondering if I should take AP Gov or AP Psych? (if not I was going to cancel those exams)

  I was planning to take AP Calc BC, AP Chem, and AP Lit, and AP Spanish but I’m wondering if any of these might be unnecessay/not very beneficial for me to take? Overall, I was hoping to figure out which exams to take, so I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks

• Should I be an Eagle 🦅 Scout? I heard they’re cool 😎?

  I’m in 7th grade and heard about Eagle Scouts. I heard they get to hang out with pageant girls who are even prettier than cheerleaders.

  Like supposedly Eagle Scouts have Teen Miss USA contestants attracted to them?

  How does one sign up to be an Eagle Scout.

  I also heard they never get in trouble at school and can get around some rules at school and are allowed a license to carry a knife at school?

• Can a child be held back because their old school won't provide proof they completed a grade?

  My niece is now in my custody. Prior to moving in with me she went to school in Iowa where she was apparently issued a laptop for schoolwork. When I contacted her old school the staff mentioned this to me and said it was never returned so they couldn't give me any information until they got it back or I paid for it. I said that wasn't my problem and just went ahead to enroll her in school in Nebraska with the information I already had. Now it's almost the end of the school year and the local school is saying she might have to repeat sixth grade because there's no proof she completed fifth grade since the old school never sent records. Is this legal?

  There's a school at my work and they're always outside doing activities and having lunch and things. it is because of social distance? they can't be inside the classrooms as much as they used to?

• "Forget" or "Forgot"?

  I still do not understand. So many people will be like "Oh, I forget". And it does not make sense to me. Like yeah, they forgot earlier, but then why does "forgot" even exist if no one can forget at the moment because then they wouldn't have forgotten?
