Have allot more to lose, but people are starting to notice and are, for the most part complimentary. My supervisor though, has made it her mission to monitor my progress, and quiz me on how much I've lost, what I've eaten, what I plan to eat, etc..... The questions are endless and getting really tiresome. I really really want to end the questioning but don't know how to get her to back off. I try to be vague, and change topics as quickly as possible but she's like a dog with a bone. Any suggestions on how to tactfully get her to stop with the questions?

I have worked with my current boss for five years, though I have been with the company more than 20 years. We are similar in ages, both early 50s. She started with the company in January, my birthday came in June. I never exchanged gifts with anyone in the office but she got me a very expensive handbag. So I got her something for her bday, but less expensive and the gift exchange has continued since for bdays and Christmas. Her gifts to me have always been more expensive than what I have given her.

Is there a polite way to end this gift exchange? Part of it is financial, but I'm not crazy about the woman, so spending money and figuring out what to get her is a real chore. Any suggestions would be great re how to end this.

Which spelling do you like? My prefered spelling is Sophie, but my daughter is considering Sofie. Her choice clearly, and I won't say a word, but just wondering what the general consensus is.
