I was wondering for factory-made guitars, what processes are used to mass produce guitar parts. As the Tone controls are most likely a thermoplastic and so made by injection moulding, but how about the other parts of a guitar? Like the scratchplate?

Hi I almost need to decide which A-Levels to take for a degree in medicine.

We get 4 options so far I've chosen: Biology, Maths, Chemistry

Critical Thinking is also a compulsory subject.

So what should I take for the last option? I was considering English Lit (but it isn't really relevant to medicine), economics, philosophy or push myself and do Physics?

If I put down in the personal statement that I play an instrument, do I need to bring it in to the interview?

And will they ask me to perform any of my extra-curricular activities that I have put down?

Hi and I was wondering whether I could self teach and progress through the grades unaided by a teacher. I already have musical experience as I play the piano and the flute. But is there much difference between this and the flute, and are the fingerings much different?

I know that it may be a stupid question, but for all 5 of your university choices, can you put down different subjects for a different university. As some universities may not do chemical engineering as such.

So could I put Warwick - Chemical engineering and Imperial - Chemistry?

hi, I was wondering, after i finish the abracadabra book for the flute and then i do a grade with ABRSM, which grade would i be around after I finish the book?

As ABRSM have always said you need to take grade 5 theory to go to grade 6 practical. Is it true for the piano, that getting grade 5 (practical) in jazz means you can just go to grade 6 classical practical?

Basically is it easier to play the flute or the clarinet? So would it be easier to take on the flute or clarinet with a piano background?

By the way, whats the difference between the straight headjoint and the curved headjoint? and which is better?

Also are flutes or clarinets generally more expensive if I bought a beginner flute/clarinet? With beginner packs, what grade would they last till, and when would I need to buy a better quality one?
